New Tips for Marshmallow from Android 6.0
There is much to learn about Google's mobiles. A new update is that Google's Android Marshmallow 6.0 has more helpful tips for the benefit of Android phone or tablet users.
1. Now on Tap feature
Marshmallow's feature Now on Tap is an expanded version of Google's virtual assistant. To use this feature, tap and hold Home key of your device.
2. Tap feature can be turned off
Now on Tap also enjoys the feature of turn off. To turn it on, tapping and holding Home key will take you to Google Now.
3. Quick Settings panel customization
With Android 6.0, you can open Quick Setting panel. Touch and hold little gear icon in the upper-right corner to see it spinning. You will immediately view a message confirming that System UI tuner is enabled for your next instruction.
Marshmallow gives access to manage volume controls, viz., music, alam and notifications.
Press the volume-up or volume-down key and Marshamallow will display the relevant controls to enable the next selection.
6. Allows DND Model
Marshmallow has Do Not Disturb (DND) mode that is available in Quick Settings Panel.
As part of Android's volume system revamp, Marshmallow introduces a much more user-friendly Do Not Disturb mode. This feature allows to turn off all sounds and vibrations for a certain period of time.
7. Feature to hush the phone
To access the hush feature, just hold volume-down key until it displays a vibrate-only icon and then let go for a while and press the key once again. This will enable the silent mode for Android smartphone or tablet.
8. Android 6.0 maintains silence
The sound and notification in system settings allows DND feature when it is tapped in Android 6.0. It immediately maintains silence.
Save yourself some effort and let your phone keep itself quiet when you know you'll be busy -- or maybe just sleeping. Hey, they don't call it a smartphone for nothing!
9. Priority setting
Priority setting in Android 6.0 will enable turning off notifications where as you can still keep certain priority for notifications to invite your attention. This is available in "Do not Disturb" menu in "sound and notification" in system settings. Tap the line "priority only allows"
10. Manage and control notifications
Click system settings and select "App notifications". Select the app from the list. This will display a menu of options. Click "priority" and it will send alerts through D&D when "priority only" mode is turned on.
11. Android 6.0 monitors apps
The section of "Apps" displays the data use, storage and access it has been granted. Further a detailed data about memory and battery usage is also displayed. This will disclose the resources.
12. Enables other apps
Marshmallow's text selection tool allows the third party apps for text navigation.
