Are you hearing more about Google Cloud? Yes, I've been hearing about and took time to attend Google Cloud On Air #. Let's discuss more about it.
What is Google Cloud?
Google's cloud platform is a highly reliable and scalable cloud computing service that helps its users to store data, help developers to build, test, deploy apps.
Google cloud takes care of application, storage, and cloud computing services for backend, mobile along with web solutions using Internet. Nearly four million apps trust and use the platform.
Google ensures to keep the backend much simple and uses very simple file system. This is the foundation of the Google Cloud Platform.
Many small and big enterprises are choosing Google Cloud, as it comes with reasonable costs.
As companies begin to migrate to Google Cloud due to its savvy solutions, it also saves money on IT staffing and works as a scaling solution on my platform.
Google cloud application programming interface (API) allows MS Office to be accessed by several people at the same time. As you install a plugin for the MS Office Program suite, you can start saving files to cloud.
Users can access, edit the cloud copy of the data which becomes the primary document. Google cloud assigns a unique URL to each file and it works with the creator of document who assigns to an editor so they can download to edit the file in MS office.
Changes become effective and visible on all the documents and if there are many users making changes to the same content, Google cloud allows the owner to keep or discard the changes.
Benefits of Google Cloud
1. Shows higher productivity due to quick access to innovation. Google's systems can deliver updates efficiently on a weekly basis.
2. Allows to deliver manageable improvements in a continuous stream without any interruption.
3. Employees can gain access from anywhere and information across devices through the web-based apps powered by Google cloud.
4. With the benefit of quick consolidation, many users can contribute to and access projects at the same time as data is stored in the cloud instead of their computers.
5. Google has plenty of leading security experts and customers can benefit from process-based and physical security investments made by Google.
6. Data is safe from vulnerable devices, if a user stops using web-based apps on the cloud.
7. Customers receive a high reliability service without interruption.
8. Control over technology and have ownership over their data in Google apps. If they are not using the service any more, they can get their data out of Google cloud.
9. Customers spend less on Google cloud as it minimizes spending on overhead costs and consolidates small number of server configurations.
Categories of Google Cloud:
- Computers: Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), App Engine, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), Compute Engine.
- Storage: Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, Cloud Data Storage
- Big Data: Big Query, Eclipse, Google Cloud SDK, Android Studio, Cloud Playground, Push-to-deploy.
Conclusion
A great impact is effective in the world of web and mobile app development, where small and big enterprises can get access to Google technology.
